Watch this video about the red knot rufa whose population has dropped by 70% since the year 2000! Follow this bird alongside its flyway and discover the natural/human disturbances that are affecting its population. The Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve is an important protected area. It’s the only destination on the red knot rufa’s itinerary where researchers can observe a gathering of juveniles which helps them get an indicator of breeding success.

Watch this video about migration connectivity through the life cycle of Red Knots in the East Atlantic Flyway. Professor Theunis Piersma wonderfully summarises the problems these birds are facing during breeding on the Arctic and migration around the Dutch Wadden Sea.
