Registration for the Global Shorebird Counting 2015 is open

Dear World Shorebirds Day Supporters,

With less than 30 days left till the 2nd World Shorebirds Day, we are getting busier. The main event of this special day is the Global Shorebird Counting, which will be held on the weekend 4–6 September 2015. Unlike last year, participants are asked to register their counting site by simply adding a marker, or more, on a dedicated Google Map. The map is open for everyone to edit. Site name with nearest village or town and country have to be added in the header, as well as the name of the participant in the comment field of the marker.

Registration deadline is 3rd September 2015.

  1. hi gyorgy we participated in the above event, n are quite puzzled by the lack of entries from countries downunder just for my own interest, i have collated most,if not all, of the sightings on that weekend, around the aus coast, using ebird data i have attached a copy of it here (minus the counts that were registered with worldshorebirdday), if it helps the cause thanks guys for the effort of organizing it cheers
